Job Title: Flexo Printing/Converting Supervisor

Flexo printing company is interested in hiring an experienced Flexo Printing Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the printing and converting departments. 2 shifts are available: Day shift, 8am-5pm, Friday-Tuesday - OR - rotating 12 hour Night shift, 7pm - 7am. Duties include: * Following run schedules, assigning personnel, ensuring quality and productivity, resolving problems, observing employees for safe practices and ensuring company policies are being followed, and other similar duties pertaining to converting operations. * Requires effective verbal communication skills, effective management, visual acuity to written material as well as product and machinery details, and the physical ability to work around machinery. Essential Job Functions: 1. Oversee the daily printing/converting operations. Follow converting run schedules from updated production schedule. Monitor all converting operations to ensure production schedules and productivity standards are met and maintained. Allocate and/or reallocate personnel within the unit as necessary to achieve required productivity. Ensure machinery and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained. Notify appropriate personnel of repair/maintenance needs. Ensure required product is available for converting operations. 2. Guide the daily functioning of the converting unit. Review machine set ups, and approve for production runs. Monitor production and review samples from finished items. Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve process upsets, technical and/or operational problems. Oversee, guide or direct corrective actions to process problems. Respond to and resolve personnel issues, disciplinary situations, etc. within established policy guidelines. 3. Provide training and professional development for subordinates. Oversee and ensure the training of new employees. Guide the development of job skills and proficiency for employees. Maintain employee motivation and morale within the unit. 4. Maintain and update unit records and files. Record and review productivity data, scrap/wastage information, etc. Monitor employee sick/vacation days and attendance. Record disciplinary issues, promote ability, etc. Confer with Management on personnel or other matters affecting subordinates. 5. Enforce GMPs, company policies and safety rules and regulations and ensure correct utilization of safety equipment. Ensure the proper cleaning and maintenance of work areas and equipment. Perform other similar duties as required by responsibility or necessity or as requested by Manager. It is the responsibility of each department Supervisor to ensure that all Quality Control Procedures and Regulations are being followed on a daily basis. It is also the responsibility of the Department Supervisor to ensure that the condition of their Department and conduct of their employees meets or exceeds the standards set in Good Manufacturing Practices Manual.
